Sorry I edited the previous one meanwhile. How much thrill could she have once she knew nothing would happen? Or maybe you are right, and the thrill was in the process to look how long she could avoid the mall detectives. Or maybe she was setting an anticapitalistic symbol? Or was she looking for contacts? Was she saving GDR valuta (as she could have bought the same things in Intershops on the Eastern side, at least after 1989, and as a personal friend of Honecker's she should have had enough Westmarks)? We will never know... :-).
