Using digitalme

From what I can see at the digitalme site, the partners I talked to yesterday at the conference have not integrated themselves into the site. For example in filling out the single log in section, there was no Clickmarks button (you know like when you don't have RealAudio and try to listen to some audio etc.) so that you could pull in all of your bookmarks and sites and get them into digitalme all at once.

On the subject of Scott leaving Novell. Managing creative people within a large corporation is a difficult task. Scott is very creative. Creative people often rub people the wrong way. It takes a good manager to understand that creative people are a resource not a threat and learn how to adjust to their personalities and how to make them more important to the company rather than seek to crunch them.

I can assure you that I have no difficulty telling Novell senior management what I think of what they are doing. I don't care about hierarchy jsut who has the solutions to problems. Others however take offense at straight out thinking. Novell has an awful lot of defensive managers.

"I put myself in your shoes for a minute and thought, I would leave for two reasons: Ether I got a MUCH better
opportunity or offer I just could not refuse, or, I could see fundamental cracks in the organization that are not
being addressed or cannot be addressed by the organization. I know you can't speak for Stone, but you might want to speak for yourself - not that you have to."

How about we just stop baiting Scott on this subject. He is a smart guy and he knows a hell of a lot about digitalme. If I were one of those smart executives outside of Novell wanting to figure out how to make money off of digitalme, (Call it a Lotus to an IBM.) then I would be calling this guy up and offering him the money!!!

I can assure you that someone will, because it ain't Stone that knows what to do with this product.
