btw, I answered my own question about the IEEE 1394 connector, Dell does not offer one in their systems, they claim that only Sony and Compaq do. Sony does because it has to support its digital camcorders, and Compaq does it to beat Dell. Dell will sell you an Adaptec 1394 card for $565, which includes the Adobe Premier editing software. I suppose if it comes on a card, I can wait to get it.
