Hi Fez...although Dell underperforming today....I've noticed that some other bellweathers are not blowing it out today either...and although I haven't looked at what Advances/Declines are doing today....by watching the tape (occasionally), it looks like a broadening the market today...if that continues for a little while (a few trading days)...it should give real courage to the sideline money- to move back in the market (rising tide lifting all boats)...and give us the broad-based (or at least broader-based) rally many technicians are looking for.... Technicians (and a lot of money) wanted a clear signal to jump back in....short of a sharp sell-off (and intra-day comeback)...they didn't get that (and looks like they won't)....so, the next best thing is a broadening market.....A narrow market (although allowing some stocks to rise somewhat) will keep a decent amount of money on the sideline for a while, and very few stocks can really explode...... Even in a narrow market, I think Dell will do well from now until January....but, it's just sometimes easier (for individual stocks) to have everyone on the same page (seeing the market as going higher), more stocks can rally further, longer (including Dell)..........Anyway, I am getting annoyed listening to Ralph Bloch blather on...<G> Birini still likes the "Nifty" stocks..
