OPEC Compliance 81% Reuters Vice 92% Bloomberg??? How can this be reconciled? For the second month in a row this dichotomy has been present:

Reuters:

The survey indicates that compliance by the 10 OPEC members participating in supply restrictions fell to 81 percent in September from 83 percent in August.

Bloomberg:

The 10 OPEC members participating in the production-
reduction campaign achieved 92 percent of their goal in
September, compared with a revised 94 percent in August,
according to a Bloomberg survey of producers, oil companies and analysts.

Opinions and comments please. This is almost as bad as the API predictions. Perhaps this is the root of the entire '97-'98 price collapse. No one really has a good handle on production, supplies, or demand. For my money as long as NYMEX stays above $20 I will be long in the drillers and E&Ps.
