SAFLINK Announces Availability of SAF2000(TM) Enterprise Security Suite
Provides Full Integration of Multiple Biometrics, Smart Cards and PKI with the World's Most Widely Used Network Infrastructures
TAMPA, Fla., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- SAFLINK Corporation, a wholly owned subsidiary of The National Registry Inc. (Nasdaq: NRID) (NRI), today announced the immediate availability of its SAF2000 Enterprise Security Suite. SAF2000 is the first enterprise server-based security solution in the market that integrates multiple biometrics with both smart cards and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for use with the most widely used network infrastructures: Microsoft(R) Windows NT(R), Novell(R) NetWare(R), and Computer Associates(R) Unicenter TNG(R).
SAF2000 represents SAFLINK's long-term vision for enterprise management of user credentials employing strong biometric-based identification and authentication (I&A) to replace vulnerable passwords along with smart cards and PKI. Organizations can now purchase a single-product suite that includes all of SAFLINK's award-winning enterprise security solutions to dramatically increase the security of their LANs, WANs, VPNs, Intranets, and Extranets. The individual security applications included in the SAF2000 suite are mature products that have all been installed and proven at customer locations and have been enhanced with new features that provide greater flexibility in network configurations and a broader choice of user authentication options, including smart cards and PKI.
User credentials and data are securely managed using database and directory service protocols including Microsoft SQL Server, Microsoft Active Directory directory services (when available), and Novell Directory Services (NDS). SAF2000 is delivered ready to use out of the box with built-in voice, fingerprint and facial recognition biometric software algorithms that are qualified with a variety of Microsoft compatible audio/video and fingerprint scanner peripherals from the leading technology providers in the business. SAF2000 is available now with a suggested list price of $199.95. The base SAF2000 product suite includes a license for 10 users in the server database. Separately purchased user database expansion licenses start at $49.95 for each additional user and can be added at any time to accommodate the varied user populations found in enterprise networks. The above pricing allows user access from an unlimited number of workstations in the network.
