I agree with your view point on TEK. They need to put something into the system for somebody beside the top brass who (and this is another error on Teks part) are all business types, no engineers or real creators. They hire these so called gurus who all think they can go out and find some college kid who has bill gates potential and doesn't know it so they can pay him 40k a year whilst the brass hauls down millions. The management at TEk is a problem they have paid themselves way to much when thepay is compared to performance. If the management would take your advice brian they could uncork some of that bottled up creativity and get some real performance from the product ownership that this approach would create. Thats why Howard and Jack were successful they owned the company and the creation of the products. Just good old american pride of ownership was a key factor in the success.
