'Digital Microwave Corporation Announces' Network Management
Coverage for Full Radio Product Line

SAN JOSE, Calif., Oct. 6 /PRNewswire/ -- Digital Microwave
Corporation (Nasdaq: DMIC - news), today announced that its
ProVision(TM) network management system, introduced in March
of this year, is now available as a complete product line
for management of all prior and current microwave radio
products produced by the Company.

Since March, the Company has shipped ProVision products for
management of the open-standards-based Altium(TM), XP4 and
SPECTRUM(TM) radio families, as well as the company's
installed base of legacy products, which were sold under
product names of M Series, QUANTUM(TM) and others, and which
use TNET and other proprietary management protocols.
Available for shipment this quarter are the ProVision
element managers for the DXR(TM), DART(TM) and SPECTRUM II
SNMP radios.

As previously announced, the ProVision network management
system is an open-standards-based system, built on the
highly flexible AccessVision(TM) management framework from
Atantech Technologies, based in Glasgow, Scotland. The UNIX©
system is scalable for management of small systems as well
as large networks with more than 10,000 networked elements,
and is particularly suitable for management of broadband
networks and for integration with management systems for
various types of network elements.

Since its founding in 1984, Digital Microwave Corporation
has shipped more than 135,000 radios to provide wireless
transmission in fixed and mobile telephone networks,
including network interconnection and broadband access
applications.

in the Digital Microwave stand Number 1130.048 in the USA
