I found that this post seemed illuminating w/ respect to GNET.

I suppose this action might be expected in any condition where company stock is used(read: float increased) for acquisitions or fund-raising.

Of course, I have not done a comprehensive study to research the relevancy of this theorem.

In any case, this might be an explanation: increased float + weak hands...."excess" stock needs to move to committed hands before selling drys and the buying interest can raise the stock....sounds reasonable?
