I found something you might just be interested in. According to the Condition of Education 1997 published by the US Dept. of Edu., public school teachers are usually higher educated than private school teachers. Furthermore, in every subject except science, you are more likely to have a teacher who majored or minored in his/her subject area in a public school. But private school perform slightly better. Why do you think this is? :-)
