Marum is the operator of the International Tower Hill/Marum and Micrex/Marum joint ventures and explores its 100% owned properties in the Chinchaga area of northwestern Alberta. Further to our news release of October 5, 1999 additional gold assay results have been received from Loring Laboratories in Calgary and are reported below together with the previously announced gold results. Sample results followed with * were announced on October 5, 1999 Sample No: Gold (g/tonne) 9DPB312 0.035 * 9EMB257 0.203 9DPB310 0.250 * 9DBP311 0.325 * 9EMB255 0.397 9EMB256 0.406 9DBP302 0.640 * 9EMB253 0.680 A1-GREE 0.750 * 9EMB252 1.175 9EMB254 1.927 Average 0.617 (excluding sample 9SJP103) 9SJP103 46,670 * The results indicate that the gold grades persist through a small but growing sample database. The average grade for 11 rock samples from three outcrop areas within a defined stratigraphic unit along a 33Km expansion fault zone is 0.617 g/tonne. Additional rock outcrop samples taken during the September field program have been submitted for fire assay and the results will be announced as they are received.
