Akula, I realize this question was not directed to me. But I would like to share my opinion. From my own experience it seemed that there was a stronger influence of discipline in private school.

I know a couple of public school teachers who have told me that sometimes when there is a discipline problem, cooperation from the parents can be difficult for the teachers to get.

I also know a few people, including 2 of my sisters, who used to be teachers, but could no longer deal with the frustrations of uncooperative parents, political motivations of superiors within the public school systems, bureaucratic red-tape, etc., the list goes on and on.
