The wholesaling item plus I thought gatekeepers just handled the routing etc. I did not see a reference to gateways which is ususalyy the term associated with the conversion of tdm to IP an vice versa. I can imagine a scenario where the long distance company could wholesale data a voice, but the voice originated and terminated on the IP network and did not interface to the PSTN without gatewaying facilities. Just my synopsis.
