Jewish life in India Rizpah Corley, like many Jewish mothers, is cooking for her son while visiting him at his home in Highland Park, N.J. But instead of baking honey cake for Rosh Hashana, she will make halva, a traditional sweet dish that also reflects their Indian heritage. Corley lives in Bombay and works as editor of the magazine Kol India, a quarterly for Jews in India, published by the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee.
