Xenos Group makes e-commerce easy for Manulife
Xenos' Documorph™ software helps deliver insurance over the Internet.

Toronto, Ont. (June 10, 1999)- Xenos Group, a North American provider of e-commerce document presentment solutions, today announced that Manulife Financial is now using Xenos' Documorph™ software to enable insurance agents and brokers to do business via the Internet. Thanks to Documorph's ability to maintain the document fidelity and corporate branding of paper-based documents, Manulife will be able to offer better service to its customers from coast-to-coast.
"Xenos Group is proud to make e-commerce easy for Manulife and its agents, brokers and customers," said Martin Heenan, president of Xenos Group. "Like other innovative North American organizations, Manulife knows that electronic document presentment can mean dramatic cost savings and superior customer service."
Documorph, the virtual Internet printer™, transforms policy statements from IBM's Advanced Function Presentation (AFP) on mainframes to Adobe's Portable Document Format (PDF). This means that electronic versions of Manulife policies will look exactly like the paper-based originals, and can be retrieved from a desktop over the Internet as PDF files. An agent can then retrieve documents through a secure Web site.
"Before we implemented the Xenos solution, Manulife agents had to wait for documents to arrive by mail," said Walter Warford, Project Manager for Information Systems at Manulife Financial's Individual Life Center. "Documorph will save both time and money -- enhancing the productivity of our staff and delivering better, faster service to our customers."
Xenos Group's flagship product, Documorph transforms documents -- exactly as they appear in print -- for the Web without the cost of replacing systems or changing existing applications. Documorph enables e-commerce, 1:1 marketing and the presentation of any document to the Internet. Documorph supports a variety of distribution options, making it possible to integrate electronic printing, e-mailing, CD-ROM creation and Web site services all in one system.
Documorph reduces the costs of document/statement distribution by delivering traditionally printed documents to new channels like the Internet. Documents that were mailed monthly are now easily and securely accessible from the Web, e-mail or fax without the significant costs of paper and postage.
