Xenos Group selected by Canada Post Corporation and Cebra Inc. to provide key software component of world's first ELECTRONIC POST OFFICE™

Xenos' Documorph™ enables national postal service to handle a diverse set of incoming data & print streams and transform them into HTML for mail delivery via the Internet

TORONTO, ON, June 15, 1999 - -- Xenos Group, an e-commerce document presentment software and solutions company, today announced that it has been selected as one of the major technology providers that will enable Canada Post Corporation to become the first national postal organization in the world to deliver mail via the Internet.

The ELECTRONIC POST OFFICE™, announced by Canada Post and Cebra Inc. in June 1998, will allow Canadian businesses and consumers to receive and view all types of mail on the Internet, including bills, correspondence, advertising, statements, government information, publications and electronic forms. Users will also be able to pay their bills directly from the service or through their financial institution's online banking facility. Following a controlled launch, a general launch of the service is scheduled for mid-summer 1999.

Using its flagship Documorph™ software product, Xenos Group will be the provider of Sender Input/Output technology to ELECTRONIC POST OFFICE™. Documorph handles multiple print inputs including IBM AFP, Xerox Metacode and line mode data and re-engineers documents so they can be displayed in HTML. It has a built-in option to handle other incoming file types and output to other file formats, as the post office requires.

"We decided to go with Xenos Group because of their expertise in e-commerce document presentment software and solutions," says Bill Robertson, General Manager of Electronic Services for Canada Post. "Our goal is to extend the security, integrity, privacy and accessibility of the physical mail service to the electronic medium. Xenos Group's technology will help us do that."

"Xenos Group is pleased to be the vendor of choice for the ELECTRONIC POST OFFICE™," says Martin Heenan, President of Xenos Group. "By using Documorph, Canada Post and Cebra will have the ability to deliver mail via the Internet. Our robust, flexible solution is exactly what customers like Canada Post Corporation and other e-commerce consolidators need."
