Xenos Group introduces the first total software solution for document presentment and delivery

Documorph 2.0 enables e-commerce by electronically presenting statements, bills and other documents to the Internet

Toronto, Ont. (July 6th, 1999)- Xenos Group, an e-commerce document presentment software company, today announced the introduction of the next generation of its flagship product, Documorph. Documorph 2.0 is the first total software solution for document presentment and delivery. Specifically engineered to address the needs of the growing electronic delivery and presentment marketplace, Documorph 2.0 will be generally available on August 1st 1999.

Documorph 2.0 enables e-commerce and one-to-one marketing by electronically presenting high-volume documents -- such as customer statements and bills -- to the Internet without the cost of replacing systems or changing existing applications. A flexible and robust solution for online customer communications, it is the only product in the market today that successfully handles all of 'the big four' presentment standards: HTML, PDF, TIFF and XML. Documorph 2.0 delivers print streams to the Web, as well as to archives and databases, e-mail and CD-ROM.

Documorph is the most comprehensive document presentment software available because it accepts more legacy print stream inputs, supports the most operating environments and offers more multiple simultaneous output formats and distribution media than any other solution available today.

"The advent of online communications with customers, suppliers, partners and even competitors has created a new set of challenges for companies worldwide," says Martin Heenan, President of Xenos Group. "Companies recognize that implementing the Internet into their strategic business processes is an imperative. A critical issue is finding effective, efficient ways of bringing legacy print data into the electronic distribution universe. Using the latest print stream data mining and transformation technology, Documorph transforms these challenges into opportunities by improving customer relationships, increasing revenue opportunities and delivering cost savings."

How Documorph 2.0 works:
An "industrial strength" software solution, Documorph 2.0:

takes multiple print stream inputs (e.g. Xerox Metacode, IBM AFP, line data)
converts them into multiple output formats (HTML, XML, PDF, TIFF, CSV, etc.)
presents documents via multiple distributors (Web, e-mail, databases, CD-ROM, etc.)
runs on multiple platforms (e.g. IBM mainframes running MVS, UNIX workstations running AIX, HP-UX, Sun Solaris and Sun Intel, Windows NT)

Unprecedented ease of use
Documorph 2.0 is the only presentment solution that gives clients the power to control and manage document transformation through the use of templates and Intelligent Rules Processing. The resulting ease of use means that Documorph 2.0 can be implemented and maintained by a business analyst instead of a programmer. These features allow a business analyst to easily maintain and implement new print applications, ensuring vendor independence when changes are required.

Document delivery choices based on customer preferences
Documorph 2.0 is the first software product that enables companies to give their customers flexible document delivery choices. Each customer's individual document can be handled and processed in a unique manner. Individual customers can receive their personal documents in the format and via the distribution channel of their choice. Some may choose to receive their documents by e-mail, others may prefer to visit a web site -- Documorph 2.0 supports both these delivery modes.

An e-commerce software solution
"Documorph 2.0 is perfectly suited to the needs of finance, insurance, utility, government, and telco organizations," says Heenan. "We want to help these companies -- as well as the high-volume print service bureaus, billing consolidators and portals -- facilitate their e-commerce strategies with a solution that is robust, flexible and user-friendly. Documorph is the one software product that can meet the needs of IT professionals for all their transformation production and presentment needs."

One-to-one marketing
Documorph 2.0 also has the ability to create a customer profile to include one-to-one marketing messages targeted to an individual customer for specific product or service sales. For example, Documorph can make a bank statement the launching point to sell mortgages to some customers and sell car loans to others. Furthermore, Documorph-enabled organizations can easily implement widely recognized standards and formats such as OFX.
