trading is halted in tokyo Trend Micro to supply virus tech to WorldCom TOKYO, Oct 7 (Reuters) - Trend Micro Inc has agreed to supply its computer anti-virus technology to MCI WorldCom , the Nikkan Kogyo Shimbun newspaper reported on Thursday. MCI WorldCom plans to offer the technology, which protects e-mail from viruses, to its Internet service clients, the industrial daily said. No immediate comment from Trend Micro was available. Sprint Corp and Trend Micro already have a similar tie-up, the daily said. MCI WorldCom earlier this week agreed to acquire Sprint Corp, in a $115 billion merger subject to U.S. regulatory approval. The Japan Securities Dealers Association on Thursday temporarily halted trade in Trend Micro shares pending confirmation of the newspaper report about an agreement reached with MCI WorldCom. 21:44 10-06-99
