I think the extension to Oct 12 was to give the DOJ more time to rule on the deal. Calls to both CPWR and VIAS made me feel comfortable enough to pick up some VIAS, but I certainly don't know (and wasn't given any guarantees by either company) that the deal will go through. I'm betting that it will---wish me luck!
