Every semiconductor generation shrink has been ~70% shrink in linear direction i.e. die area gets reduced by 50% (~0.7x0.7). Thus total number of die's become 2x at 0.18 um technology node than at 0.25 um.

So if they are getting twice the number of K7's in 0.18um technology than in 0.25 um technology. Yield is same at 0.18 um technology as in 0.25.
