I took this to mean all wafer starts from Nov 1 on will be at .18um. So, it appears they must have extensive characterization of their .18um process and feel confident to move 100% to .18um. Seems strange, however,that they were only able to demo 800MHz at .18um especially after Intel had all ready done so. I mean, why sandbag at a demo when 1GHz is "right around the corner" ????
