Like I said in another post, I believe that right now AMD's financial situation is too precarious and really its too small to try and diversify immediately. I am not to worried about it currently because I think that we are just at the beginning of this cpu cycle and that it should go for another 3 years. AMD is in the enviable position of having a great new chip and sufficient(excess fab space).....I think that is a great combination. With this new cycle starting, AMD is being given an opportunity to get to profitability. I think that is the paramount goal for now.

I also like the fact that sanders is not willing to give up the part of the business having to do with telecom and networking chips....while only now are they starting to contribute revenues, I can see growing them into more substantive components of the company in the future.

I realize this CC was not one normally you would want to hear from a company in which you hold shares; however, given where AMD was last quarter, it is definitely a reversal from that quarter and I believe AMD is now in turnaround.

At the beginning of this quarter, there were only two true AMD believers: Scumbria and LaFountain......tomorrow after the bell, I hope there will be thousands more.
