The BSE Sensex is at 4,822 (up 124 points). The NSE Nifty is at 1,436 (up 43 points). The Indian Rupee is trading at Rs 43.57 per US Dollar.

The markets seem to have taken well the simple majority of the BJP led coalition. There is buying interest across the board, with the major gainers including Reliance (3%), Infosys (7%), Satyam (5%), NIIT (4%), Pentafour 8%), HLL (1.1%), Cipla (4.3%) and M&M (6.5%). Volumes are on the higher side. With the formation of the new government expected to take place as soon as Monday, the traders are expecting the buying interest to continue.
