Orange Completes IT Systems For Australian CDMA Network
SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA, 1999 OCT 7 (NB) -- By Adam Creed, Newsbytes. Orange Australia has completed a business systems solution for the roll out of its new CDMA (code division multiple access) mobile phone network in Australia.

Orange, formerly Hutchison Telecommunications Australia, and IT consultants Logica completed the project this week. It puts in place all the IT and business support systems necessary for the network roll out in the first half of 2000.

The new A$500 million (US$330.55 million) CDMA network covers the two most populous cities of Melbourne and Sydney, with customers able to roam nationally elsewhere in Australia through an agreement with Telstra Corporation Ltd, which is rolling out its own national CDMA network.
