TruVoice is a great product--I compared it with several competing text-to-speech products at the L.A. Computer Telephony convention and it blew the others away (including a ridiculous, robotic-sounding one Octel was using for their demonstrations). TruVoice was the only one with a natural, accurate, pleasant speech quality. But a salesman there downplayed the importance of the TruVoice division in terms of sales, saying it accounted for "about one percent of Centigram's revenues." My impression was that its greatest financial benefit probably derives from the good press and attention it generates for Centigram as a whole.

It is a sexy little product though, so I'd be curious to know how much more earnings power it might be able to generate as contracts like Microsoft's are signed.
