"Dell preannouncement rumor appears to be incorrect" in any event, i decided to buy the insurance. jan 2002 25 puts at 3. spread is only about 1/8 so i can easily sell them at a small loss if i change my mind. of course i am not fully protected as the stock will go down point for point while the option will rise a lot less. selling calls, however, would limit my upside. regards
