I uderstand what you are saying. The need to follow SEC rules and all. What I am thinking is that companies can get many of us who do meet the SEC requirements to invest by talking with us on a thread like this.

Investing would only be done if people meet the SEC requirements and I feel that should be verified by the company and the individual not necessarily a middleman.

As to risk of the investing, all investing is a gamble. I feel the risk is only what you are willing to allow.

With so many emerging venture capital websites it would be nice to not have to join them all to find these companies that are starting up.

A discussion thread for company pitch is not where the buyer buys, but is informed. He/she still would need a broker.
