Brightpoint and TIM Celular Sul Sign Agreement
INDIANAPOLIS, Oct 7, 1999 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Brightpoint, Inc. (NASDAQ:CELL) announced today that its Brazilian subsidiary, Brightpoint do Brasil Ltda., has entered into an agreement with TIM Celular Sul ("TCS"). Under the agreement, Brightpoint will provide services such as channel order taking, handset kitting, programming, warehousing and freight management, in the states of Paran and Santa Catarina, for TCS and its subsidiaries CTMR, Telepar and Telesc.
TIM Celular Sul, based in Curitiba, Paran, is the leading provider of wireless communications services and has built one of the largest digital wireless networks covering hundreds of cities across the south of Brazil. The TIM Celular Sul Network currently serves approximately eight hundred thousands subscribers.
