Good put down, i mean post. Not sure what i think of TA, haven't had much exposure to it. I am basing my support for S3 on the following facts. There is a business upgrade cycle going on and most of those computers are selected on price basis. S3 has good chips at good prices and services most or all of the top 10 box makers. There are also quite a few people out there that are just getting into a PC for the first time, either for fun or for the kids to use on school projects. They are also not out there looking for a PC with a $300+ graphics chip/card combo but one that has some whiz bangs for an entry level price. S3 really has the low to mid range covered well. Their foundry is online and pumping out chips which has cut their cost per unit. They may have lost some individual PCs or lines but they have picked up others. I also expect that we will be hearing soon that they have made inroads into the mobile market. They are also diversifying and will certainly sell at least a few Sonic Vibes chips. The management seems to be doing a good job. The insider selling which is probably partially filing to sell and then either not selling or selling less than filed, also seems to be about normal compared with previous years. The market in general seems to be picking up and will probably continue to go up and down for whatever reason as it always has. This of course will pull down or pick up S3 along with most other stocks. Lately has just been another wonderful buying opportunity which may be ending.
