Thanks, Gerald and ISPYOIL, for the drilling reports and the news about Questar's assessment of Pinedale Anticline prospects. Yes, it is encouraging that someone else in the business thinks the prospects are good.

I couldn't help but be struck with the contrast between Ultra and Questar. Questar is a 70 yr old co. that has over US$2 Billion in assets. UP valued its oil and gas assets at C$37 million in 1998 annual report. With almost US$ 900 million in revenues last year Questar had operating income of US$ 138 million. Questar sells at about $19.

UP has about 2/3 the number of shares that Questar has. How long will it take for UP to reach US$ 85 million annual revenue and profits of $0.70 a share so it can sell for $19? Actually, I'd be happy if it got up to C$5 or 6 in the next five or six years.

With a dearth of buyers, UP's share price keeps drifting down instead of going up. Maybe we should be asking how long it will take before it reaches $1.10.

P.S. Gerald, I couldn't find the 2nd Q 1999 report at Questar's site but did find it by going, at Questar's recommendation, to prnewswire.com and then searching there for "Questar."
