Thanks for the fundamental write-up. As you see there is a place for S3 in today's competative market and S3 has capitalized quite nicly even in light of Intel's push for the high performance video market and S3's decreasing margins. My next purchase will be a good graphics card and I have narrowed my choices down to products utilizing S3 chips (because they are a good price/performance combination, not because I'm "vested" in S3). cheers PRB
