Donald, I checked with freight handler friend, he said that has been the case for quite awhile. He cannot tell me statistically whether the imbalance is worse than before. In either case, I am not sure how accurate an indicator that may be for measuring CHANGES in trade deficits. I find it interesting that not much attention is paid to the strong yen last qtr. That should have been good profit for US companies exporting to Japan but could be a killer for Japan Inc. this quarter. How much longer can Jpn talk themselves out of their recession? Ramsey
