As far the results of AP/UP, etc. I dont have enough confidence to draw any conclusions from the current data. Last time it was AIADMK, this time it is DMK. Last time it was RJD in Bihar, this time not.

Well, in Bihar this time, it was the Samata Party, yet another regional party. While it has been DMK/AIADMK in TN for as long as I can remember, the trend of regional parties asserting themselves in the AP has been around only 15 years or so. And about 20 years ago, one couldn't even think of UP electing a regional party or parties in such large numbers! However, it has happened this time. IOW, more and more states are returning candidates of regional parties.
