Leah Industries, Inc. Announces Change in Board of Directors

TORONTO & TYUMEN, Russia--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct 7, 1999--Leah Industries, Inc.(OTCBB: LEAH) is
announcing a change in the Board of Directors. Birte Boock and Alexander Nafanailov have resigned
effective October 6, 1999 and have been replaced by Vladimir Gardt as Chairman, CEO and President and
Leonid Owsiv as executive Vice President and Director. Mr. Gardt, as the majority shareholder is of the
opinion that now is not the time to sell the company. Mr. Gardt intends to pursue additional oil ventures and
as part of assuming control Mr. Gardt will have Sib - Mach Font tender for four million (4,000,000) shares of
Leah Industries, Inc. at a price of four dollars ($4.00 US ) per share as soon as feasible. Both past and new
management will not tender their holdings.
It is the intention of the new Board to have the shares of Leah Industries, Inc. listed on a major exchange in
the United States, as well as Germany. As part of the new Leah Industries management focus, Leah will
acquire the minority interest in Sib - Mach Font.
