Hi E. Am I off base in considering it insulting that you find my personal admiration of President Reagan, a disgrace to the nation?

That said, your opinions about Reagan are as welcome as any (however much I disagree with them). I just don't understand why you need or want to restate them endlessly.

Reagan's ability to "look into a camera....." has drawn your contempt. I don't know what about this causes you to single out Reagan for scorn. This IS a quality of leadership and it is desired by office holders and seekers of all parties.

Further, on a different scale, it is a skill/talent/whatever found very useful by managers, teachers, sergeants and parents.

In personally swearing off this subject for the nth time, I want to ask you serious question (and one that I do not mean as an insult). Do you consider yourself fundamentally a marxist (lower case "m" intentional) in any meaningful way?
I sense (perhaps 100 percent wrongly) a not-so-slight unease on your part with the way this country operates. I take this view, in part, from your reluctance to endorse any modern president.

Fair (I hope) regards,

Mike
