"What you should understand is that the waning of the Congress(I) in and of itself, does not mean anything to the people or the country. The coalition has to work together. Mere hatred of the Congress(I) or Sonia Gandhi alone does not cut it. "
Wrong,IMO. Congress should be wiped out. Like chicken pox, even if you have one sore left on your body, you are not fully cured.
Now dont mix this disease with any other experiment being enacted, such as a coalition govt. India is still "experimenting" with coalitions, and has not yet learnt the art of making coalitions stable/succesful. Well, Congress(I) never gave any chance for such an experiment to occur. It smothered any dissent (and still does), both within the party, and many times without (like in 1975-77). Hatred of Sonia/Congress(I) has nothing to with coalitions working with some modicum of success. It's pure power play, and survival instincts of diferent coalition partners. Ofcourse, common hatred of cockroaches such as Sonia/Congress(I) helps!
It's quite possible that BJP+allies will form a coalition that may(or may not) survive long. It's quite possible that this process may reshape BJP as a party to replace Congress(I). Whatever the final outcome of this experiment, Congress(I) has to anihilated. Plain and simple. No more dynasty in India. NCP was a good start to break up the dynasty. But, NCP-wallahs grew up steeped thoroughly in congress-boot-licking, and one cannot change ones spots so easily. So, I wouldn't be surprised if NCP, e.g. goes back begging to Congress(I).
Wait and see how the act unfolds. |
