That is most unfortunate. I believe HM and NEM fit into the category you described. In the case of NEM, they were leaned on to provide gold to an overly short market in order to keep the scheme going. It would appear to me that some of the bullion banks are open to a degree of liability in promoting the forward selling to levels not prudent. If GATA can link this too excessive profit by some influential companies and people the current turn of events have a long way to go before there is a resolution.
The mining companies are tantamount to the widow being forced to buy speculative stocks by an unscrupulous broker. With the legal sharks out for high profit suits, some of them may shift from representing the widows to representing the producers.
