Re: Seen this yet?
No, But it makes sense, with what we've been hearing from both Jody and Dunn that every category will make money.
BTW this mentality worries me, Iomega has become a shell of what it was and admittedly they grew too fast with too little control, but are they going too far the other way ?
The vision has not been replaced, I've been expecting newer, bigger, better and it's not been forth coming. But I'm hesitant to walk away at this point for a couple of reasons.
1. They have an outstanding product in Zip which IMO could easily replace the 1.44 floppy, which by itself could carry a much higher market cap.
2. The company seems to be positioning itself for a take over. I hope to have a clearer picture of the company outlined in the upcoming conference call.
3. The stated optical projects might hold positive prospects. We've all known that there have been optics in development but where are they ?
4. Clik! and handheld devices, in particular MP3 players are a natural and if given a chance will IMO become popular , if they have an 80 meg version they need to get it out.
5. I believe there's little downside risk at this point, that might change but it looks to be riding a bottom range.
