HIFN.....CNBC says now 82 l/8 and it sounded like okay news to me but I didn't hear all the details.

I have said that with overnights "anything" can happen and that is why I have missed a few "near death" experiences as I call them over the years with stuff that can happen. But when day trading (or getting out at the close) the only thing I could think of that was beyond my control was a halt which I cannot even imagine enduring. The rest of the time I use stops and sometimes a wild price flow will run through my stop some....at least I am partially protected.

I played HIFN a couple of times. The last time a few weeks ago I got filled as I looked on my real time with such a bogus high fill (it wasn't even near there)...I got filled and then they moved the price up to it and due to the fact it was close to time and small shares I didn't press the issue. But I complained to my broker who I know well. He checked into it and said that this is a very highly manipulated stock and "snakey" (to paraphrase) with the MM's and advised me more or less to reconsider playing it unless I wanted to put up with the aggravation and have a big stop for all the "play" and "spread games".....(I can put up with aggravation for a good trade...:))

They (MM) then stopped me out rather "interestingly" and then proceeded to go and make daily new highs ironically from the stopped out price....I just needed to smart from the sting and knowledge of what this stock was like but I wish I had had the spunk to get back in then. It was the first time I had had a broker out and out tell me the more inside scoop in a stock in this way. So I wish you well Mr. Big on your position.

It was just added to understanding the market. I remember when I first started and never heard of manipulation.
Then I thought maybe it didn't exist and so many told others who believed it did that they were "paranoid" ...alot has changed now with information but so many newbies would really beat up on those who talked about different forms of manipulation (more experienced traders) cause they didn't want to believe it.

I since believe it. I don't try to fight it or rally against it. I just see how I can understand it and make it work for me. Like the pegging of stocks option week.

I have since added another category just the last couple of days. I now know the partial reason for the few days of rally on some of the red hots and such are because of the money being put to work after window dressing in the first few days of the quarter. I understand it doesn't usually go past l0 days though. I had understood the basics of window dressings but hadn't added the first few days of spending in a new quarter. And because the high performing funds are getting so much money they need to spend it on these certain stocks. Next quarter I will be ready.

So much to learn.....so little time. :)

Good luck tomorrow.

Autumn
