Dennis, I might also add that Greenspan had shifted the bias to tighten.. the advance decline line has been deteriorating for many months, and he has already warned speculators about the 'irrational exuberance' in the marketplace, the market are now ignoring him..... Well, this was not the first time these circumstances have occurred in this way... in 1987 when he assumed his post, he warned investors about 'speculative excesses' in the marketplace... the advance declines also had been deteriorating for months and the markets ignored Greenspan.... a few months later, on Monday October 19th, we had a 508 point drop in the DOW... 153 point drop the Friday before..... I'm certainly not trying to be some doomsday prophet, just the the circumstances are setting up for the same thing and the technicals and chart patterns appear suspicous, at best, to me.....
