Hi Peter and Jack, based on Novell's products and installed base, I believe Novell is here to stay, but doubt we will ever see a significant spike to the upside...a spike that with a few of the right words would seem to be easily accomplished.

There is still no aknowledgement on Novell's own web site that Dr Schmidt did actually report to work yesterday. The momentum they created during brainshare has peaked and is heading downward again. This company has become very predictible.

Apparently Dr Schmidt dosen't have the power yet to execute a press release announcing his arrival, dosen't understand the importance of doing so, or simply still isn't prepared. None of the above are positive IMO.

I don't think the question that someone raised regarding John Youngs new position on the BOD as vice-chairman was ever answered. What kind of power does that give him? Equal to Eric Schmidt?
