I talked to the company this week. Ian was very pleasant and straight forward in answering my questions. The 25 for 1 consolidation was approved by 70 some odd percent of shareholders who voted. It will therefore go ahead unless the VSE rejects it as being overkill/ridiculous (my words). A meeting is planned for this week with the VSE to discuss the financial state of the company, and the proposed re-listing as Central Coast. If all goes well the newly named entity could start trading in November. Given the long trading suspension, there can be no positive assurances that the VSE will approve the new financing/restructuring plan. It would seem logical (my opinion here) that the VSE is prepared to cut some slack to junior gold miners, given the horrible carnage that has beset this sector from May, 1997 to now. In any case, the POG seems to be finding a stable footing at just over $320. Maybe, just maybe, this will mean the end of the "nuclear winter" which has caused the extinction of so many small mining companies, and the loss of so much capital invested. Regards.
