I say -- accept the LoC as the international border. Then engineer a split in the Congress to win the support of about 50 or 60 MPs, who can be used to restore the numbers after kicking out the most hard-core right-wing religious bigots in the BJP. Somewhat dicey. But definitely worth trying. In any case, something drastic has to be done to break the knot. No better way to get started than by getting rid of those who want to drag yesterday's war to today and into tomorrow.
