Ed, I've tried this with MSN and it doesn't work, meaning the browser accepts the new start page assignment, but when connecting the next time the MSN-selected home page still comes up instead. So there must be a command to start the browser with the MSN page in the dial-up connectoid IMO. Thank you for trying to help. Even if I start the browser FIRST and then dial-up, a new browser window with the MSN home page starts up. I've e- mailed MSN support and they waved their hands. BTW, the browser [IE5} is customized for MSN members. It doesn't even annoy me any more. Gottfried
