The SEC changed the accouting rules for the convertible debts this year, so anyone who had them in early quarters had to amend their financials to comply with the new SEC rules. I don't think the SEC is contacting the companies, I think it is just being handled by the accountants or auditors. It is essentially a number shuffle and everything else remains the same. Nobody screwed up, just a rule change on how you do your books.
