No, it's very simple. I testify in malpractice and discrimination suits against physicians and hospitals. I have a suit now in which I am testifying against my cardiologist. I discussed it carefully with him and perhaps he understands. I check his prescriptions carefully against the literature anyway. Just in case. I wouldn't testify against a surgeon of mine. I've publicly favored medical plans for many years that are opposed by the AMA etc. I've been threatened and criticized in press by some physicians. Reagan was just the other way. There were in fact many physicians who believe in social medicine who hated his guts. He's shouldn't have joked about it if he wanted a long healthy life.
