Thanks for the thoughtful response, E. Although I seek no apology, I remain of the opinion that your statement paints Reagan admirers as disgraces to the nation. You say you did not mean "each and every" individual Reagan fan is a disgrace to the nation -- how are we to assume which are and which are not?

Whether I alone admire Reagan or am part of a mass of people who admire him, I have made a deliberate choice -- I am not in the Reagan camp because I am "just following orders" or subject to mass hysteria.

I am glad you are not, strictly speaking, a libertarian. Although there is great appeal to much libertarian argument, I think many "libertarians" are, in fact, "utopians."
