News: "Battle to provide Japan Net access hots up" (Mentions IIJI and may account for today's reversal) "Fifteen Japanese firms said on Thursday they would team up to offer a flat-rate, high-speed Internet service, heating up the battle to provide cheap access to the young but potentially lucrative medium in Japan." famulus.msnbc.com Although if Japanese companies are somewhat slow moving then I wonder how slow this fairly complicated consortium will move, especially as it sounds like NTT is standing in the way. Hope the Internet isn't obsolete by the time they roll this out. ;)
