IZAP is offensive to me, as the father of a six-year-old daughter. Their business model depends on push marketing to kids.

We've banned cable TV in the house already because of the river of over-sexualized crap that spews out of it - even on Nickelodeon, in the ads.

I'm all for free enterprise, but not in school, where the kids are sitting ducks. Free internet - (should kids have unfettered access?) - but at what cost?

Shame on Michael Dell. This is a deal with the devil.

According to the prospectus: >In particular, California recently enacted a law that imposes additional procedural requirements before local school boards can enter into contracts involving advertising in schools. Similar or more restrictive legislation is possible in other states and at the local and federal levels.<

I hope so. JM cranky O.
