Does anyone see MSFT breaking out of its current range in the near future. The best i am hoping for is about 99 by around earnings. Until some big time news is made by the company, it will be difficult to pass 100. I could be wrong and it is just accumulation of short interest as the price moves up that is causing it to stall.

I do however see much higher levels around January to April time period. I guess it is good to just hold onto shares and long term options options and wait it out. That is why i am doing my trading in stocks that show more short term potential. If i was not trading or investing in other stocks (i used to go about 80% MSFT at times in the past), i would not be too happy with its current range. I have just decided to designate it as a long term core holding.

Of course, once in a while i will play some short term options on it---only when the time is right.
